On the evening of May 7, the National Design Award of Good Design was awarded in the National Martynas Mažvydas Library in Vilnius for the seventh consecutive year. During the ceremony, 10 awards and 21 diplomas were awarded. Between all the winners of 2018 this coffee table was also placed in the category of FURNITURE AND LIGHTING.

Coffee table SUGAR CUBE
This project is inspired by the sugar cube. It's a simple, lightweight table design and looks somewhat like a Japanese tea table. The transparent surface of the table creates the illusion that the cubes "float in the air" and highlight the light minimalist construction. The cubes of different types of wood are freely assembled on the surface, so as to combine them as needed, are of different sizes – creating playful coasters. The table can also be used for educational and therapeutic purposes.
